In the beautiful lake area, in Bräcke municipality, lies the small and cosy HusHotell Hunge with a fantastic view of Lake Hunge. It is an oasis of peace and quiet where you can endlessly enjoy the view, the beautiful sunrise, the clear stars and even the northern lights in winter. It is a unique starting point for hikes on the Bodsjöleden trail and there is the possibility for guests to book drop-off and pick-up service around the Bodsjöleden trail.
Döviken
The Bodsjöleden trail runs through the beautiful village of Döviken and here you can spend the nights in the old schoolhouse. From here you can choose to take a walk towards Hunge/Sidsjö or either via Åkerviken or Herrevadsströmmen towards Flatnor.
Herrevardsströmmen
At Herrevardsströmmen there are 3 trails that are linked to each other, namely Bodsjöleden, Forsaleden and Jämt-Norgevägen. Here is perhaps Sweden's smallest museum called Strömmuséet and with 8 square metres of small exhibition there is a lot of memories from the rafting era when Herrevaden was home to both saw and planing mill as well as a power station. Mia Horneij, who together with her partner Kalle Jonasson has reopened the museum in the old barrel bread bakery and has two beautiful places to rent Lyckebo and Smedjan
KÄLEN
Welcome to the village!
The village has a documented history dating back more than 500 years. There is old culture here in the form of buildings from the 17th centuries, as well as remains from earlier forestry, including coal bunkers. Kälens Ledcentrum is a new information hub for several trails in Bodsjö. Here you will find information about the newly restored Bodsjö Trail with links to other trails such as the Forsaleden and Jämt-Norgevägen. The snowmobile trail to the clubhouse on Kälaberget and towards Ocksjön, Gillhov and Våle/Hunge. In Kälen there are opportunities for swimming and fishing, several possibilities for overnight stays in cosy cabins, and soon, also the opportunity to get a good breakfast. And why not take the opportunity to take part in the annual Cube competition in July? The competition is considered one of the largest cube competitions in the country.
